Discovering the Oceans Book Cover
Attention Students
Are your teachers requiring you to cover your textbooks? Are you tired of covering them with boring brown bags? NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has produced a book cover that will make your teacher happy and satisfy your search for adventure. The front of the Discovering the Oceans book cover will provide just the spark you need to imagine yourself ready to dive in to the study of our oceans.

Read the cool comic on the back to learn that NASA uses satellites to study the surface of the ocean and to track marine life. Want to find out more about satellite oceanography? The book cover lists some online resources to help you, but a great place to begin is http://sealevel.jpl.nasa.gov. Perhaps you're thinking about becoming an oceanographer yourself. Start here to become a Junior Oceanographer. Pass the quiz and you can print out your Junior Oceanographer certificate and have your name added to the Junior Oceanographers Hall of Fame. Let your parents know that our website will not store the name you put on your certificate.

Spacecraft If you'd like the free book cover, ask a teacher or parent to fax the request to:
